Greetings!
We extend our sincere gratitude and whole appreciation to all youth leaders, pastors, churches that participated in our 2nd annual equip the youth convention Africa-2010 on youth empowerment and transformation into leadership for national dev’t at from 10th–11th Sept.

We approximately spent 3million shillings in coordination transport, airtime, letter print, posters, registration forms and media & by the grace of God, we managed to register a number of not less than 200 youths leaders who travelled from far and wide i.e. Kisumu and Eldoret in Kenya, Jinja, Wobulenzi, Mbarara, Mukono, Wakiso, Kamuli, Kaliro, Kampala and others in Uganda. Despite financial challenges, we managed to accommodate, cater for all participant accordingly. Few of the participants commented:
REPORT:
Julie Tibah Ass.administrator – Africa harvest mission:Throughout the Friday night session, I personally wasn’t only entertained by the renown Ugandan gospel musicians like mc Kirwana Africa but also in the word, we were called upon as young people to tear down the facade the world has thrown up in front of us. We were drawn into the presence of the God of the Universe where we saw that God truly is GREAT, better than anything else and living in our hearts through faith and Baptism.
Nsamba Esther from Makerere University: I learnt that God is bigger. God is the ultimate. God is truly GREAT and He reigns as King of the Universe. His heart burns with a passionate, unconditional love for each of us. It is this love that changes hearts, sets people free, and draws us into deeper communion with the one who made us.
Jesus says in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” This “real life” is discovered only when we take our eyes off of ourselves, the world, its false pleasures, its half-truths and give our hearts completely to the Living God.
Gonza David from Kaliro:I understood that God is not an experience but a journey. He is our beginning, He is our end. And He is in all, through all and with all of us as we journey through this life. Thus we were encouraged to make Christ King of their hearts – where He can reign GREATER!.
Dan Abuto from Kisumu in Kenya:on top of the sermon, wonderful technical skill training session where the youths were assigned to different training groups and were taught skills in how to make chapats, neckless, filming, designs ,hair dressing all ways of earning a living. I thank the organizers who provided us with t-shirts and drinking water, food that kept us alert and it is my prayer that all the challenges perceived i.e. money issues, delay in transportation next day of Saturday won’t happen in the 3rd annual event. All in all am proud that I was apart of the 2nd etyca.
Yes! our aim for the technical workshops in the event was to train youths for self employment a way to poverty eradication and fight against employment, commented by the President’.
THE CAMP NIGHT activities among others included; Preaching, Praying, Fashion show, Technical life skill trainings, Bible leadership quiz, Worship, Praise, Testimonies, Teachings, Dance, Music, Film and Fun.
It was an awesome satruday that saw a beautiful weather and ground for our leadership sessions in debates, dialogues, speeches led by Pr.Steven Sebyala, Pr Patrck Musoke, Pr James Kawalya, Stephen Kapere and others at Nabinonya resort beach in Entebbe. By around 4pm,sports, swimming and other games took course.
